“My goal is to ensure all birthing people and their families have the physical and emotional love and support they need during pregnancy, labor and postpartum months.”

MEET AMBROSIA

Ambrosia supports pregnant and postpartum people through the transformative journey of birth and integration with deep presence, education, and care. Since launching her practice in 2016, she has served hundreds of families as a birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and lactation specialist.

Currently in Phase 3 of clinical midwifery training, Ambrosia is attending births at Maternidad La Luz — a bilingual, high-volume birth center and midwifery school in El Paso, Texas. This immersive, hands-on experience complements her academic studies at the Midwives College of Utah, where she is completing a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery. Both programs conclude in 2025, after which Ambrosia will offer homebirth midwifery care in Colorado, serving the communities of northwest Denver including Arvada, Boulder, Golden, and nearby neighborhoods along the I-70 corridor.

Her approach is grounded in the principles of trauma-informed care, reproductive justice, and inclusive, culturally responsive midwifery. She is committed to providing care that centers safety, dignity, and autonomy for people of all gender identities, family structures, and cultural backgrounds. From April through mid-July, Ambrosia is living and practicing in El Paso to deepen her skills and strengthen her commitment to accessible, community-rooted birthwork.

“I watched her breathe her first breath as a mother. I saw the face of a woman who saw her baby for the very first time. At that very moment, I was reborn. That’s when I truly understood what a gift it is to give.”

Ambrosia's calling to midwifery grew from her lived experience — including her time as a surrogate, her many years as a doula, and her service as a volunteer labor support person and educator for teen parents. Married for 20 years, she lives in Arvada, Colorado with her husband and two children (ages 11 and 17), balancing her devotion to birthwork with camping trips, family adventures, and skiing in the Rockies.

Ambrosia is a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, Lactation Education Specialist, Childbirth Educator, and Full-Spectrum Doula, supporting all pregnancy outcomes. She has been honored as South Bay’s Favorite Doula by the Daily Breeze in 2017, 2018, and 2019, and continues to serve families with compassion, integrity, and a deep belief in the power of informed choice.

Client Highlights

“Ambrosia was simply put the very best decision my husband and I could have made as we began our journey as parents. Stars and words cannot adequately describe how much Ambrosia means to our family. She will forever be part of our family's life. Ambrosia was there on the first night we returned home from the hospital. Her calm demeanor and words of encouragement made me feel as if I was always good enough. She gave me the strength to push through, even when times felt tough.” - Ally

“Ambrosia was instrumental to our family in the weeks following our daughter's birth. She is knowledgeable, kind, warm, and comforting during a time where everything is new, and you have no idea what is normal and what is not.” - Rachel

“Overall, I really found myself relying on Ambrosia more than I even expected and she was a great partner for us. I couldn't have imagined having anyone else helping us in this process - she was exactly what we needed and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy Doula!” - Ansley

“I never knew that I could cope with pain in this manner and that I would welcome the process with grace and surrender. There were times that I felt vulnerable but never weak. Ambrosia was there to offer the right tools to help me labor from a place of strength and power instead of fear. And when I needed to hold someone's hand and cry…my amazing husband was right next to me I could not have done it without them. Doulas are angels who help us find the confidence and strength we didn't know we had…and some are as special as Ambrosia.” - Sara

“It's hard for me to put into words just how special Ambrosia is to me and my first birthing experience. To start off, she is extremely knowledgeable in all things birth. I mean this woman is truly a one stop shop for all of your birthing needs. Not only did she coach me through my pregnancy, labor and birth, but she was able to give me coaching through my breastfeeding journey as well. However, in my opinion the thing that makes Ambrosia truly special is the way she advocates for her clients.” - Breanna

“Ambrosia is amazing! She came into our lives when our son was a week old and helped us navigate those first few weeks of caring for a newborn. She was so calm, supportive and loving. We immediately felt comfortable with her and she was an invaluable resource to us as first time parents.” - Katie
